A quick and easy summer drink blending fresh strawberries, zesty lemonade, and smooth vodka into a refreshing slushie perfect for hot days and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup fresh lemonade (made from about 2 large lemons, 1/2 cup water, and 2 tablespoons sugar)
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 12 tablespoons simple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse and hull about 2 cups (300 grams) of fresh strawberries. If using frozen, let them thaw slightly.
  2. Make fresh lemonade by juicing 2 large lemons to get approximately 1 cup (240 ml) lemon juice. Mix with 1/2 cup (120 ml) water and 2 tablespoons sugar until dissolved. Chill.
  3. Combine strawberries, 1 cup lemonade, 1/2 cup vodka, and 2 cups crushed ice in a blender.
  4. Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides once or twice, until smooth and slushy.
  5. Taste and add 1-2 tablespoons simple syrup if needed, then blend briefly again.
  6. Pour into chilled tall glasses or mason jars. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon or strawberry.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use crushed ice for best slushie texture. Fresh lemonade brightens the flavor more than store-bought. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup as needed. Chill glasses before serving to keep drinks cold longer. For a virgin version, omit vodka and add extra lemonade or club soda.
