A quick and easy frozen mango chamoy slush with a tangy, spicy Tajin rim that offers a refreshing and flavorful treat perfect for hot days and parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 tablespoons chamoy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 12 tablespoons agave nectar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 to 1 ½ cups ice cubes
  • 2 teaspoons Tajin seasoning per glass (for rimming)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • ½ cup water or coconut water

Instructions

  1. Prep the glasses by moistening the rim with a lime wedge, then dip into Tajin seasoning to coat evenly. Set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine chopped mangoes, chamoy sauce, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, a pinch of salt, and ½ cup water or coconut water. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add 1 to 1 ½ cups ice cubes to the mango mixture. Pulse a few times, then blend continuously until the ice is crushed and the mixture reaches a slush consistency. Add more water if too thick.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tang by adding more agave/honey or lime juice as desired. Blend briefly again.
  5. Pour the slush into the Tajin-rimmed glasses. Optionally drizzle chamoy sauce or sprinkle Tajin on top. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

Use ripe mangoes for best flavor; frozen mango works well if thawed slightly. Adjust chamoy and Tajin to control spice level. Apply Tajin rim just before serving to avoid sogginess. Pulse blender when crushing ice to prevent melting. Slush is best served immediately but can be stored frozen and re-blended.
