Fresh Patriotic Yogurt Parfaits with Crunchy Granola

A light and festive parfait featuring layers of creamy Greek yogurt, fresh red, white, and blue berries, and homemade crunchy granola. Perfect for summer mornings and celebrations.

  • 2 cups (480 ml) plain Greek yogurt (full-fat preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (150 g) strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup (150 g) blueberries
  • 1 cup (125 g) raspberries
  • 1 ½ cups (135 g) rolled oats
  • ½ cup (60 g) chopped almonds
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) honey
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon (2 g) ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon (1.5 g) sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, chopped almonds, honey, melted coconut oil, ground cinnamon, and sea salt until evenly coated.
  2. Spread the granola mixture in a thin layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake granola for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and fragrant. Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet.
  4. While granola bakes, combine Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl. Stir gently until smooth and creamy. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  5. Rinse strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Hull and slice strawberries. Pat all berries dry with paper towels.
  6. In serving glasses or jars, layer spoonfuls of yogurt, strawberries, and granola. Repeat layering with blueberries and yogurt, then raspberries and granola. Finish with a few whole berries on top.
  7. Serve immediately for crunchier texture or refrigerate up to 1 hour to let flavors meld and granola soften slightly.

Notes

Keep granola separate until serving to preserve crunch. Use full-fat Greek yogurt for best creaminess. Dry berries well to avoid soggy layers. You can substitute almonds with pecans or walnuts. For dairy-free, use coconut or almond milk yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey.
