Ingredients

Scale
  • Red Layer: 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) strawberry or cherry flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) vodka
  • White Layer: 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cold water
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) boiling water
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) vodka
  • Blue Layer: 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) blueberry or blue raspberry flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) vodka
  • Whipped Cream Topping: 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Red Layer: Dissolve the strawberry or cherry gelatin powder in 1 cup boiling water. Stir for about 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Let it cool slightly (about 5 minutes), then stir in 1/2 cup vodka. Pour evenly into shot glasses, filling about one-third of each. Chill in the fridge for 45–60 minutes until firm but not rock hard.
  2. Prepare the White Layer: Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over 1/4 cup cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes. Heat 3/4 cup boiling water and dissolve the bloomed gelatin in it. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 cup vodka. Mix gently but thoroughly. Once the red layer is firm, carefully spoon or pour the white mixture on top, filling another one-third of the glass. Chill again for 45–60 minutes until set.
  3. Prepare the Blue Layer: Dissolve the blueberry or blue raspberry gelatin powder in 1 cup boiling water. Stir well until dissolved. Allow to cool slightly, then add 1/2 cup vodka. Pour gently over the white layer, filling the remaining space in each glass. Refrigerate for another 45–60 minutes to fully set.
  4. Make the Whipped Cream: Just before serving, whip the cold heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Spoon or pipe onto each jello shot for a creamy finish.

Notes

Pour each gelatin layer slowly over the back of a spoon to keep layers distinct. Let each layer set fully (45–60 minutes) before adding the next. Bloom unflavored gelatin in cold water before dissolving. Whip cream just before serving to avoid melting or weeping. For non-alcoholic versions, substitute vodka with cold sparkling water or lemon-lime soda. Use quality sweetened condensed milk for best creaminess.
