A no-stress, fifteen-minute date night charcuterie board that feels way more special than it has any right to be. It’s about grabbing what looks good, not overthinking it, and letting the colors do the work.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz (115g) Soft Cheese (like Brie or Camembert)
  • 4 oz (115g) Firm Cheese (like aged Cheddar or Gouda)
  • 4 oz (115g) Blue Cheese or Goat Cheese (like Gorgonzola or chèvre)
  • 4 oz (115g) Sliced Prosciutto
  • 4 oz (115g) Salami or Soppressata
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Fig Jam or Honey
  • 1/4 cup (30g) Mixed Olives (Castelvetrano or Kalamata)
  • 1/4 cup (30g) Marcona Almonds or Roasted Cashews
  • 1 small bunch of Red or Green Grapes
  • 1 small handful of Dried Apricots or Figs
  • 1 small Baguette or a Box of Crackers

Instructions

  1. Set the Stage (2 minutes): Grab your board or platter. Place two small bowls on the board. Fill one with the fig jam or honey, and the other with the mixed olives.
  2. Place the Cheese (3 minutes): Take your three cheeses out of the fridge. Unwrap them and place them on the board, spaced out evenly. Cut the brie into a few wedges, slice the cheddar into thin triangles, and leave the blue cheese in a wedge.
  3. Add the Meat (3 minutes): Take your prosciutto slices and gently fold them into loose ribbons. Place them next to one of the cheeses. For the salami, leave the slices flat or fold them into quarters. Nestle them near the other cheese.
  4. Fill in with Fruits and Nuts (4 minutes): Add the grapes in a small cluster. Scatter the dried apricots around. Sprinkle the almonds in a few small piles to fill the gaps.
  5. Add the Crackers (3 minutes): Fan out your baguette slices or crackers in a few spots around the board, placing some near each cheese.
  6. The Final Check (1 minute): Stand back and look at your board. Fill any big empty spots with a few more almonds or a stray grape. Add a sprig of fresh rosemary or a few small mint leaves for a pop of green.

Notes

Let cheese sit out at room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving for best flavor. If prosciutto is sticking together, it’s too warm—peel it apart gently. For a more aesthetic board, use the ‘anchor’ technique: place your biggest or most colorful item first, then build around it. Don’t overcrowd the board; leave a little space between items.
