  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly brush each wonton wrapper with olive oil on both sides. Press one wrapper into each muffin cup, gently folding the edges to fit snugly.
  3. Bake the wonton cups for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  4. While the cups bake, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook for 6-8 minutes until fully browned with no pink remaining.
  7. Stir in taco seasoning, tomato paste, and beef broth. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes until mixture thickens slightly.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Remove wonton cups from oven carefully. Spoon the beef mixture into each cup, filling generously but not overflowing.
  10. If using cheese, sprinkle it on top now. Return muffin tin to oven and bake for another 5 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool slightly to firm up the cups.
  12. Top with favorite garnishes such as diced tomatoes, green onions, sour cream, or avocado slices.
