Instructions

  1. Pat 2 boneless skin-on chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, toss the chicken with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, and ¼ teaspoon garlic powder if using. Add 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest if desired.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and run empty for 3 minutes.
  4. Place chicken breasts skin-side down in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  5. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes until skin is golden and crisp.
  6. Flip chicken skin-side up and cook for another 6-8 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove chicken and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  8. Optional: For extra crispiness, air fry for 2-3 minutes at 400°F (204°C), watching closely to avoid burning.
