  • 3 tablespoons (45g) unsalted butter, softened
  • Zest and juice of 1 medium lemon
  • 2 tablespoons (8g) fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) salt (divided)
  • ½ teaspoon (2g) freshly ground black pepper (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil or avocado oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the Lemon Dill Butter: In a small mixing bowl, combine softened butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped dill, minced garlic, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Mix until creamy and refrigerate to firm up slightly.
  2. Prepare Salmon: Pat dry the salmon fillets with paper towels. Brush the skin side with olive oil. Season both sides lightly with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
  3. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Air Fry Salmon: Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Cook for 10 minutes. For extra crispiness, flip and cook an additional 2 minutes. The salmon should be opaque and flake easily.
  5. Finish and Serve: Remove salmon from air fryer. While hot, top each fillet with a generous dollop of lemon dill butter. Serve immediately.
