Creamy Deviled Eggs with Everything Bagel Seasoning

Velvety, smooth deviled eggs with a creamy filling and a crunchy everything bagel seasoning topping, perfect for parties and casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning (sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried garlic, onion flakes, salt)

Instructions

  1. Place 6 large eggs in a single layer in a medium pot. Cover with cold water by about 1 inch. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for exactly 12 minutes.
  2. Immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water using a slotted spoon. Let chill for 10 minutes.
  3. Tap each egg gently on the counter to crack the shell, then roll lightly to loosen. Peel under running water if needed. Pat dry with paper towels.
  4. Slice each egg in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the yolks into a medium bowl. Set the whites aside on a serving plate.
  5. Mash the yolks with a fork or potato masher until crumbly but fine.
  6. Add mayonnaise, softened cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and white vinegar to the yolks. Stir with a whisk or spoon until smooth and creamy. Add a teaspoon of milk or water if mixture is too thick.
  7. Stir in salt and freshly ground black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  8. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture evenly into the egg white halves, mounding slightly.
  9. Generously sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over the filled eggs.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let flavors meld and filling set.

Notes

Do not overcook eggs to avoid greenish-gray yolks and sulfuric taste. Shock eggs in ice water immediately after boiling for easy peeling. Use piping bag for neat presentation. Add everything bagel seasoning just before serving to keep it crunchy. Can prepare filling and whites separately up to a day ahead.
