This decadent S’mores Dirty Soda combines the nostalgic flavors of campfire s’mores with a cool, creamy twist, featuring fizzy soda, chocolate syrup, graham cracker crumbs, and a luscious toasted marshmallow whipped cream. Perfect for parties, movie nights, or a sweet treat any time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (355 ml) cola or root beer, chilled
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) chocolate syrup
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) graham cracker crumbs, plus more for garnish
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) heavy cream or half-and-half (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
  • Ice cubes (enough to fill your glass)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) mini marshmallows, plus extra for topping
  • 1 tbsp (12 g) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) pure vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your broiler or use a kitchen torch. Spread 1/2 cup mini marshmallows on a foil-lined baking sheet. Toast under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching closely, or use a torch for even browning until golden and gooey.
  2. In a chilled mixing bowl, add 1 cup heavy whipping cream. Beat with a hand or stand mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form (about 2-3 minutes). Add toasted marshmallows, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Continue whipping until stiff peaks form and marshmallows are mostly blended in.
  3. Fill a tall glass or mason jar with ice cubes. Pour in 12 oz chilled cola or root beer. Add chocolate syrup and heavy cream. Stir gently until well combined and creamy.
  4. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the dirty soda. Stir gently so some crumbs sink into the drink, leaving a few on top for crunch.
  5. Top with a generous scoop of toasted marshmallow whipped cream.
  6. Garnish with extra mini marshmallows (toasted or plain), a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired.
  7. Serve immediately with a fun straw and enjoy!

Notes

For gluten-free, swap graham cracker crumbs with gluten-free cookies. For dairy-free, use coconut whipped cream and coconut cream. Whipped cream and toasted marshmallows can be prepped ahead, but assemble the drink just before serving for best fizz. Chill your bowl and beaters for faster whipped cream. Watch marshmallows closely when toasting to avoid burning.
