Bright, glossy, and chewy homemade gummies made with layers of fruity Jello and vanilla, shaped into fun flower molds. These easy treats are perfect for parties, celebrations, or a cheerful snack that kids and adults love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp (20g) unflavored gelatin
  • 34 boxes (3 oz/85g each) flavored Jello powders (cherry, lemon, lime, orange, etc.)
  • 1 1/4 cups (300ml) cold water
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) vanilla extract or coconut extract
  • Spray oil or neutral oil (for greasing molds)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease flower silicone molds with spray oil or neutral oil.
  2. In a medium bowl, sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup cold water and let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. In separate bowls, add 1 box flavored Jello powder to each. Pour in 1/4 cup boiling water per bowl, stirring until dissolved.
  4. Gently heat bloomed gelatin (microwave 30 seconds or saucepan over low heat) until melted, not boiling.
  5. Whisk melted gelatin into each Jello bowl until smooth.
  6. Add 1-2 tbsp granulated sugar if desired and 1/2 tsp vanilla or coconut extract to each bowl. Stir well.
  7. Pour first color into bottom of each mold cavity, filling about 1/4 of the way. Chill in fridge for 10-12 minutes until just set.
  8. Repeat layering with remaining colors, chilling between each layer.
  9. After all layers are poured, chill gummies for at least 1 hour (preferably 2) until fully set.
  10. Carefully unmold gummies by flexing silicone molds or using a thin spatula.
  11. Arrange on a platter and serve immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Notes

For vegetarian/vegan gummies, substitute agar-agar powder for gelatin and follow package instructions. Use bold, clear Jello flavors for best color. Chill each layer just until set for crisp lines. Gummies taste even better after a day or two as flavors meld. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days; freezing is not recommended. For extra shine, brush gummies lightly with neutral oil before serving.
