  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Trim the asparagus stalks by snapping off the woody ends (about 1 to 2 inches).
  3. In a bowl, toss the asparagus with 1 tablespoon olive oil, a pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Wrap each asparagus stalk tightly with a slice of prosciutto, spiraling from base to tip with slight overlap.
  5. Arrange the wrapped asparagus in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet without overcrowding.
  6. Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through with tongs to crisp evenly.
  7. While roasting, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, and garlic powder in a small bowl to make the honey mustard dip.
  8. Remove asparagus from oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes to allow prosciutto to crisp further.
  9. Serve warm with the honey mustard dip on the side.

Notes

Use thicker asparagus stalks for best texture. Watch the prosciutto closely to avoid burning. For extra crispiness, use a wire rack or broil for 1-2 minutes at the end. The honey mustard dip can be made ahead and refrigerated. Reheat leftovers in the oven at 375°F for 5-7 minutes to maintain crispiness.
